Things to Know

The concept is simple:
Put a cowboy on top of a three thousand pound bull.  Turn the bull loose for eight seconds and score them both.

The total score possible for a bull ride is one hundred points. Half of that total is based on the performance of the bull and the other half of the ride is determined by the rider.

The more difficult the bull is to ride and the better the rider stays on the bull, the higher the score.

This is also a true sport in the fact that the only way to make money is to successfully ride the bull for eight seconds.  No ride, no money.

There is a third athlete involved in all of this and he too has competed to be here in Las Vegas.  That would be the bull fighter.  The man that is on the ground trying to keep the bull away from the rider once he has been bucked off the bull.

The toughest sport in dirt crowns its champions in the city known for the best in sporting  entertainment,  Las Vegas Nevada.  Tickets sell out every year and your chance to see all this is October 30- November 8 at the Thomas and Mack Center.
