Name me one other sport where the Fans are as front and center at the world championship than the PBR?? I mean they all like to talk about how important the fans are to the success of their sport. Here at the PBR they like to show you how important the fans are.
In years past, each rider would come in the back door and we wouldn’t see them until the ride. This year they added a “walking the red carpet” to each round. Now they come in through the front door and meet with the fans. Shaking hands and signing anything they get handed. All done with a smile and a sincere “Thank You” for coming.
The trick is to try and them to speak in more than one or two sentences. They talk about as long as the ride. They don’t see themselves as the celebrities they are. This is for the fans and they let you know it.
The coolest thing is that this is a red carpet anyone can attend. You don’t have to be famous, have an entourage or have your own show. They want to speak to anyone who is willing to show up. They know if it wasn’t for the fan, they wouldn’t be here.
So come on out and say “Hello” to the the best athletes in the business. They won’t bite!
